I said I was going to officially announce The Last Celestials blog tour and launch party, so here is me making good on that promise! Huzzah!
I cannot BELIEVE we are two weeks out from the official launch! This process has been an absolute blast and a fantastic learning experience. There have certainly been challenges and snafus along the way (and, naturally, moments of crippling self-doubt), but here we are, finally approaching the finish line. It’s so surreal!
The ARC reviews are already coming in and I am honestly floored by the initial positive reception. I know not to expect that 100% of the time (and I am bracing myself for negative reviews, because that is the name of the game,) but it is still unbelievably encouraging to see people enjoying the story. That’s all I want!
Speaking of, the lovely Gail over at Fictitiously Yours recently posted a fantastically thorough review of the book that you have to check out!
Now it’s time to get to the good stuff: the official blog tour and launch party announcements!
The Last Celestials Blog Tour
In anticipation of the official launch on Monday, February 14th, 2022 (Valentine’s Day!) a handful of lovely book bloggers have graciously agreed to be part of The Last Celestials blog tour.
In case you don’t know what a blog tour is, it’s basically like a virtual book tour. Whereas traditionally, an author might physically go to bookstores and libraries, participate in Q&As and interviews, et cetera, a blog tour promotes a book’s launch across a number of book blogs and/or websites. It’s often utilized by indie authors, though not exclusively. Book reviewers are still considered instrumental to a successful book marketing campaign no matter how it’s published!
I should totally do an article on how to organize a blog tour because it is surprisingly easy yet likely intimidates many new authors. It’s not scary, it just takes a little time!
ANYWAYS, the line-up for The Last Celestials blog tour is as follows:

On Monday, February 7th, Rachel of R’s Loft will post a mini review and interview. The questions were super fun to answer and I look forward to seeing her review!
On Wednesday, February 9th, Jessica of The Awkward Book Blogger will post an author interview. These questions were also super fun to answer!
On Friday, February 11th, Anie of Diary of a Wannabe Writer will post a review of the book. Again, excitement abounds!
On Saturday, February 12th, we meet back here at Malarky HQ for a blog tour recap and a giveaway! I’ll be giving away one free, signed copy of the book!
Then, when all that is said and done, we’ll wrap it up on Sunday with…
The Last Celestials Launch Party
Go big or go home, am I right? To top off the week’s festivities, I will be hosting a launch party livestream on my YouTube channel (that has been sadly neglected since the publication announcement… I blame TikTok!) to celebrate the eve of the big day!
Because let’s be real: no one is going to watch a livestream on Valentine’s Day! And if you don’t have any plans, do something nice for yourself that evening instead!

I would love to do a countdown to midnight, but I don’t expect anyone to suffer through that, least of all myself! The party will commence at 6:00 PM Eastern Standard Time and end no later, I assume, than 7:30 PM EST. (An hour and a half is quite long enough for a livestream, I daresay.)
Save the date! Set a reminder on YouTube via this link or mark your calendar!
In that time, anyone may ask me anything about the book or my writing process. (I reserve the right to not answer personal questions depending on what they are 🙂 I will also (maybe) read excerpts from the book, share exclusive first-looks at some awesome fan art, and tease my current WIPs!
Since this is a party, so to speak, I will also likely be drinking champagne and eating snacks, and you are welcome to do the same with your food and beverage of choice! I wish I could share, but alas, the limits of technology.
In any case, I hope to see you there!
